A small obsession, a lifetime of passion

Whether on an exciting vacation with my family or on my way to a neighborhood BBQ, I am never without my camera. In these shots I express my passion for both travel photography and candid family portraits. It’s the little details that sometimes get overlooked in our lives and it’s those details that I feel awaken our inner passions.

Many people ask how long I have been a photographer. That is a hard question to answer. My first camera was a 110 cartridge-based film format type. I was 4 years old and my mom could never keep me supplied with enough film. Some say I’m a little obsessed with photography. But it’s what I’ve always loved.

I started perfecting my craft when my daughter was born almost 8 years ago. My husband always loved the pictures I took of her and we would send those out to family and friends. Then they started asking me to take pictures of their families, and then their friends liked them, and I started taking pictures of more families and their friends, then their special events and it has just taken off from there.

With my travel photography, well, I had always done that just for me. But I was encouraged to share that beauty with others as they requested larger images to decorate their homes and office space. So now those are available on my portfolio.

Learn more about my techniques, travels, and experiences on my blog where I give my candid thoughts on photography, family, and places we love to travel to and dream of.

Thank you for taking the time to look through my images and let me know how I can help you with your life’s little details.
